The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

The rising star has impressive online presence

Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns multiple courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He practically suggested to play and have fun," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, making him quite busy."

As an amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

Yet she can get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."

Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that involving Kai brings the sport to new audiences, particularly with the next generation.

Kai maintains a massive following and recently launched her own apparel and wellness label.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
