Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event isn't the first time that a US military aircraft ferrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to return to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
