David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour towards young women.
The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
