Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
